On-Premises Requirements
System requirements for customers running Student Manager and ACEweb on their own servers and workstations. ACEware also offers a hosted FlexDesk option if you'd rather not host the software yourself.
Student Manager Server
Requirements for the server on which Student Manager will be installed.
TIP
Student Manager does not require a dedicated server. It can run in a virtual environment, and can be installed on the same server as ACEweb.

ACEweb Server

TIP
ACEweb does not require a dedicated web server, and Student Manager can be installed on the same server. Both can run in a virtual environment.

Payment Gateway Interface
Several payment service interface options are offered. Contact the office for more information about system requirements for the various options.
Email Module
To use the Email module, you must have the following:
- SMTP Mail Server hosted on your institution's network which allows Relaying. At this time, the Email module will not function on a MAPI Server.
- Persistent Connection to your SMTP Mail Server (i.e. LAN, WAN, ISDN, or DSL). The Email module will not operate with a dial-up connection such as AOL, MSN, etc.
- Student Manager's Catalog Builder module, because Email templates (used when you need to include information from the data tables into your email — e.g. registration confirmations, faculty rosters, etc.) are stored in the Catalog table.
