Credit Card Validation Timeout

The timeout value is how long Student Manager will wait (in seconds) for a response before ending the credit card validation attempt.

If the process times out, you will be asked if you want to continue waiting.

  • If you click Yes, Student Manager will continue to wait.
  • If you click No, Student Manager will end the validation process, and notify you that it timed out waiting for a response. Once you click OK, the system voids the payment record and enters Card transaction timed out in the Reason for VOID field.

Setting the Timeout Value(s)

Student Manager: set the Student Manager Timeout value on the Pay Preferences, in the Set Timeout field.

Payment Service: your payment service may also have a timeout setting. Consult your payment service documentation for more information.
