Credit Card Validation Timeout

The timeout value is how long Student Manager will wait (in seconds) for a response before ending the credit card validation attempt.

For example, if you timeout value is 300, Student Manager will timeout after 300 seconds (5 minutes). It will then ask you if you want to continue waiting:

If you click Yes, Student Manager will continue to wait.

If you click No, Student Manager will end the validation process, and notify you that it timed out waiting for a response:

Once you click OK, the system voids the payment record and enters Card transaction timed out in the Reason for VOID field:

Setting the Timeout Value(s)

Student Manager: set the Student Manager Timeout value on the Pay Preferences, in the Set Timeout field.

Payment Service: your payment service may also have a timeout setting. Consult your payment service documentation for more information.
