Course Comments Tab ​

Course Comments are stored on the Comments tab.

Mouse over field for Field Name. Go to the Data Structure page to see more information.

Course Comments Tab

There are three types of Course Comments:

  • Registration Warning Message - notes entered in this field will pop up whenever you register an individual in the course.  This is useful for notifying registration staff of special instructions or requirements, such as course prerequisites.
  • Reason for Cancellation - if you cancel a course, you are asked to enter a reason for canceling.  The entry is stored in this field.
  • Note (May be printed on receipt) - include notes that you want to print on registration receipts.  This is useful to notify individuals of special instructions, such as a reminder to bring course materials to the first class.  Note: this note will print on Student Manager receipts by default--IF--you have the Print on Receipt? checkbox checked on the Main tab, and you have not removed the field from the Receipt template.
  • Comments (Reminder Note) - notes for yourself or another Student Manager user, for example the date the catering order should be submitted.

You can add additional Reminder Notes for staff by clicking the Additional Reminders button.

If you enable the Date Reminder (and enter a user and date in the Remind Who and When fields), the system checks for Reminder Notes during start up and will display reminder notes on the specific date.

You can manually check for reminder notes anytime you are in Student Manager by selecting Tools > Course Reminder Notes.

  • Turn on course reminders for this course with the Email Reminders to Students box.
  • Turn on course follow ups for this course with the Email Follow-up to Students box.
