Coupon Use Limits

Set limits on how many times a coupon code can be used.

IMPORTANT

• The Coupon Limit feature CANNOT be used with other coupon options (course coupons or one-time coupons). It can be the only coupon option used on the course.
• For ACEweb support, the CouponLimits INI setting must be set to 1.

Add Coupon Use Limit Code

1. Select Module > Codes > FEES: Coupon Use Limits.
2. Enter the Coupon Code. This is the code ACEweb users will need to enter to apply the coupon discount.
3. Enter a Description.
4. Enter the # on hand. This is the maximum number this coupon can be used on registrations.

5. Click the OK/Close button to save the code record.

Set up Coupon Use Limit on Course

1. Create a Coupon type fee in the appropriate course record.
2. Enter the amount in the correct format, depending on whether the discount is a flat fee or a percentage of the Main Registration fee:

• Flat Fee - enter the amount as a negative amount; e.g. if it's a $20.00 discount, enter -20.00 in the Amount field.
• Percentage - enter the percentage as a negative decimal; e.g. if the discount is 10%, enter -0.10 in the Amount field.

3. Select Coupon from the Type drop-down menu.
4. Enter the code you entered when creating the Coupon Use Limit record (step 2 in Add Coupon Use Limit Code section) in the Coupon/Inv. Code field.

5. Click the Save button to save the changes to the course record.

Apply Coupon Code to Registrations

In Student Manager, you assess the coupon fee the same way you assess other Additional Charges.

In ACEweb, users will need to enter the Coupon Use Limit code to receive the discount on the Enrollment Cart page:

Both will decrement the # on Hand value on the Coupon Use Limit code record. In this example, the # on hand was originally set to 50. When a coupon discount was applied to a registration, the # on hand was decremented to 49:

When the # on hand reaches 0, the coupon can no longer be used in Student Manager or ACEweb. Both will return a message that the coupon has reached its limit.
