Printing Marked Labels
If you've checked the print label on selected records for mailing label purposes (e.g. when individual requests information or when using the Set Filter procedure to flag records), you won't need to run a query. Â Just check the Print Marked Labels box on the Mailing Labels Report Options screen (Reports > Demographics > Mailing Labels).
You also have the option of excluding individuals with the Don't Mail flag checked. Â This is useful in cases where you set a filter to flag records for mass mailing purposes, but want to exclude the individuals who don't want to receive mass mailings.
Clearing Label Flag
When using the Print Marked Labels option, you'll be given the opportunity to clear the flag when the labels have finished printing. Â Clicking the Yes button will uncheck the flag on all records included in the Mailing label report.
Note: Â the Print Marked Labels and the Clear Print Label options are global. Â In other words, when selecting these options, you'll be printing/clearing all flagged records regardless of which user originally set the flag.
Partial Label Sheets
Student Manager also offers you the ability to print on partially used label sheet with the Set Start Label Position feature. Â This feature allows you to enter the number of the label where the system should start printing (e.g. you've used the top row and want it to start printing the labels on the 2nd label down in the second row).
To use this feature:
- Check the Set Start Label Position box on the Report Options screen.
- Select any other appropriate options, then click the OK button.
- The system will ask you for the target label number. Â This is where you want the system to start printing labels*. Â Â Enter the number then click the OK button.
- Continue with the print labels process.
*By default, Student Manager labels are set to print across then down. Â So when counting, you should count across the rows then down the columns. Â If you have changed this default behavior, you must change your count accordingly (i.e. count down the columns).
